An Insider's Glimpse into the Upcoming iPhone 15: Leaks, Rumors, and Everything You Need to Know

In the world of Apple, innovation never rests. Even as the iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Pro models hit the market in September 2022, speculative whispers about the iPhone 15 were already fluttering about. The rumor mill has only gathered momentum since, and with the proposed launch date approaching, we now have substantial information to scrutinize.

Expectedly, Apple's lineup for the iPhone 15 is no far now. Just like the iPhone 14, the iPhone 15 is set to come in two different size variants, with two models featuring different screen displays and other different functions. One of each size will be the standard models, the iPhone 15, and the other is likely to be named as the iPhone 15 "Plus."

The remaining 6.1 and 6.7-inch models take a stride onto the high-end path, rolling out as the pricier "Pro" models. While the fiscal element may see a surge, so does the value on offer. The Pro versions, as we've seen in the iPhone 14 series, carry a bundle of premium features, justifying their heftier price tag.

So, as we traverse the rumor landscapes and unravel the layers of speculation, one aspect remains unchanged - the anticipatory excitement surrounding Apple's upcoming marvel, the iPhone 15.

The iPhone 15 lineup

Rumors tell that Apple's forthcoming iPhone 15 lineup is speculated to continue with 4 new models akin to the iPhone 14 series. Experts expect the release of the iPhone 15, iPhone 15 Plus, iPhone 15 Pro, and iPhone 15 Pro Max.

Based on earlier speculations, Apple might also sport an exciting new title of 'Ultra' for its iPhone, drawing a parallel with the high-end Apple Watch models. According to the stories outside, it has been indicated that iPhone 15 Ultra shall come all equipped with an expansive 6.9-inch screen and an enhanced iteration of the A17 Bionic chip. However, Apple is set to follow its tradition and not opt for "ULTRA" is what can be heard lately.

For design enthusiasts, the iPhone 15 series is likely to maintain the aesthetic traits of the iPhone 14, preserving the sleek flat edges and noteworthy camera modules. iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus are to look almost identical to iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Plus. Only the USB-C port is what stands different from each of them.

IPhone Designs and Display

One major change that's making the rounds is the potential removal of the notch across all models, broadening the display area and lending more seamless visuals. Instead, Apple will be adopting the Dynamic Island that it used before for iPhone 14 Pro and 14 Pro Max.

Get ready as Apple is set to bring two different screen display sizes one being 6.1 inch and another model with 6.7-inch taking a stride onto the high-end path, rolling out as the pricier "Pro" models.

While the fiscal element may see a surge, so does the value on offer. The Pro versions, as we've seen in the iPhone 14 series, will carry a bundle of premium features, justifying their heftier price tag.

So, as we traverse the rumor landscapes and unravel the layers of speculation, one aspect remains unchanged - the anticipatory excitement surrounding Apple's upcoming marvel, the iPhone.

iPhone 15 Processors, Tech Specs and Action Button

The standard iPhone 15 is expected to maintain the A16 chip used in iPhone 14 Pro. The Pro versions are thought to incorporate the newer A17 chip, designed for power efficiency and impressive performance. An exciting design tweak will be the speculated introduction of an 'Action Button' on the pro models - a customizable feature to enhance the user experience.

The action button is a hardware shortcut button that will be placed in place of the mute switch. Users can easily access this to trigger pre-set commands based on their preferences or usage habits. Reports hint that changes in the code snippets of iOS 17 beta 4, are already being made by Apple, which almost confirms the presence of the Action Button.

Only iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max are said to have the given Action Button, which will be used for nine custom functions. These are Shortcuts, Silent Mode, Camera, Flashlight, Accessibility, Magnifier, Translate, and Voice Memos.

iPhone 15 Battery, Charging, and USB-C

One significant leap that the iPhone 15 is rumored to make is the switch to USB-C. Rumour says that Apple bids a farewell to the Lightning port with its new version and welcomes the USB-C port which will allow all the iPhones, iPads and Mac owners to share a charger and a cable.

While the main driver of this switch appears to be regulatory requirements in the EU, consumers are optimistic that this change will lead to superior charging speed.

Shifting from the conventional color range, the iPhone 15 Pro models are likely to come in an array of colors due to the switch to a titanium frame. The standard iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus potentially will be coming up with a color range of the following-

  • Midnight/Black
  • Starlight/White
  • Yellow
  • Blue
  • Orange/Coral Pink

However, based on the leaked images and rumors – there is a doubt for the color being coral /orange or rather pink. This is because few images the devices looked more pink than orange or coral shade.

iPhone 15 Pro and 15 Pro Max

Every time we see Apple choosing a cool color palette for their different versions. Last year, Apple offered iPhone 14 Pro models in Deep Purple, Gold, Silver, and Black.

However, this year, not only the designs and display of the device, but a complete color change is expected to switch things up a bit as well.

Reports say, “ Apple's 6.1-inch iPhone 15 Pro and 6.7-inch iPhone 15 Pro Max models are expected to feature a lighter titanium frame instead of a stainless-steel frame for the first time, and to best show off material change, Apple is introducing a series of new colors.

Apple this year comes with a variety of grays. Instead of Deep Purple, iPhone 15 Pro and Pro Max are likely to come up in

  • Dark Blue
  • Silver-Gray
  • Space Black
  • Titanium
