FRIENDS: The One With The Reunion
Were you left in tears when the most loved and resonated sitcom ended with giving us so many quirky dialogues and laughters? Well, let us give you a shriek of joy by telling you that the most awaited ‘FRIENDS Reunion’ is finally finished filming and is all set to release on May 27, 2021.
We know the past year has been troublesome for everyone due to many reasons, whether your job’s a joke, you’re broke or your love life’s DOA, but thankfully, your favourite FRIENDS will be there for you again.
The long-awaited Friends cast reunion will also feature a slew of celebrity guests including Justin Bieber, Lady Gaga, BTS and many more.
How was it filmed?
Although there were a lot of hurdles due to the pandemic, the shooting was successfully completed on 10 April, 2021. The reunion was originally going to be shot in March 2020 with live audiences but somebody had to eat a bat! It has been filmed in Los Angeles on the original Warner Bros. Studio.
After ensuring complete safety of the cast and the crew, we are now one step closer to watching the reunion on our devices. Several precautions were taken before and during the shoot. There were no live audiences and the entire cast was tested for COVID-19 and asked to be isolated after they had their tests. Thankfully, none of them were tested positive and they triumphed in the shoot.
What can be expected of the reunion?
This is the first time when all six lead actors [Jennifer Aniston, Lisa Kudrow, Courteney Cox, Matthew Perry, Matt Le Blanc and David Schwimmer] of the show will be under the same umbrella including the co-creators, Marta Kauffman and David Crane [since they were on a break!]. Apparently, HBO Max dislikes changes, which is why all original props have been used.
The most exciting part is that this is going to be unscripted, which means the six actors might gather on the Central Perk couch to sip coffee and indulge in a talk-show-style conversation. The release date has not yet been announced and neither has the trailer been given out, leaving us in suspense.
Shot in just 3 days, the most awaited reunion special is going to be full of surprises, fun and excitement. We’ll have to wait to find out how the one with reunion ends.
Could we BE more excited? What we hope to see is the cameo of the goose and the duck or at least the barcaloungers.
Till then you can rewatch all the 236 episodes for the 45683rd time and still go “Oh My God” when Ross says the wrong name.
